The time’s bank…
Maybe plenty of you did not hear about: “The Time’s Bank”.
But if you take a look around you can know more about this project: I hope that amaze you as much as I am amaze with the idea.
Social red in Ning where we can exchange and that the exchange ca be possible in real terms and not a Utopic fantasy, we can obtain societies less materialistic with more solidarity where the ex-change between people can be real with no monetary transactions.

For that reason, my wish is to develop and extent the idea that alternative groups already propose before me to the council-bureau in the city where I live where they approved the project according with the budgets has been created.
Being the Eco-local, a dedication to “The exchange”, environmental problems and they create that movement in Sevilla(Spain) and also the project of “The Time’s Bank” : exchange and give, is a sharing between people with a mutual give and receive issue.
You can subscribe yourself or to your friends in the local Authority/council or city near by you main residence address…
If you can not do it why not through us?, we can make it POSSIBLE!!!!
If we joint together the page is going to be approved in the local Authority in Sevilla as a suitable project

In Time where the true friendship is in doubt sometimes and we need to trust others as well and to become confident and we can increase the believes in solidarity.

How the time’s Bank was created?
What is a Bank’s Time?
A Bank has a finality to promote exchanges between people not less than 18 years old(residents),
That they can be approved by the local education Authorities/councils/communities or other kind of organisms. We offer the opportunity about people to meet other people and to trust others in daily problems than can be resolve helping one to each other.We do not use any money at all, the richness is coming from inside the residents and to dedicate time to others as a volunteer basis.
That experience started back up in time in the 80’s, that was in a period of the “time dollar” in united states of America. With the main issue or topic that the real value is the time or “dollar-time”.

The filosophy of this kind of webs developed SPECIALLY IN THE EXCHANGE OF SERVICIES THAT APPEARED in Argentina in may 1995. 23 people cooperated in a garege in the city of Bernal in Buenos Aires district. That kind of web appeared when the economical problem can not being solved by governments and there is unemployment, so citizens became aware of the problem and they start helping each other for free.

Italy as well was a pionner country in Parma exchanging time to solve problems in communities with a precarious economical background. In Spain they start doing this kind of chains in the 90’s there are few of them still working out in Madrid/Barcelona/San Javier(Murcia)/chipiona/Sevilla/Pamplona….and they are still more opening in different parts of the communities.
BANK Account:
Each member has a personal account, when anybody ask you for a specific service you will charge for the time that you spent so you can up-date the statement in your account. You can cheque like in a branch in the reception/secretary department.
Every member is responsible of their own account and they can administrate their time as they like it.
When you are a member they will credit you with 10 hours and you can start asking for services,cheking the different pages…of the rest of members that as well as you they are offering services to the community.
You can do volunteer hour’s and make a donation of your hours as well and you can use the cheque-book of the time’s Bank.
Always remember to contact the secretary/receptionist after completing and activity to up-date tha information in the web-site.
The Value of things:
The value of things is equivalent of the time that you employ in doing it.
All the services have got the same value (is the same to go to the school to drop in children that to fix a plug or to walk the dog).

What can we Offer?
-drop children to the school.
-to go to the doctor with elderly people.
-burocracy documents/application packs….
-to teach/learn how to cook.
-to saw/fix a bycicle/languages/art-craft/pets/mechanical problems/make-up/music/

You can explain in you main page what can you offer and what do you need.
You can do a MULTI-TASK EXCHANGE: that means that you can help a member and with the hour that you gain to exchange with someone else that need another service.

Por ello , es mi deseo divulgar esta iniciativa que ya con anterioridad grupos alternativos lo propusieron al ayuntamiento de la ciudad en la que vivo y que desde la aprobación del mismo y por tanto desde los presupuestos participativos se ha creado .
Siendo El Eco-Local, dedicado al trueque, al medio ambiente y a todo lo alternativo los que dieron los primeros pasos para generar este movimiento en Sevilla (Spain) , así como lo del proyecto del Banco del Tiempo, ósea : intercambia y trueca . Tu tiempo y el de los demás , recíprocamente ... DAR y recibir, RECIBIR y ofrecer ...
Para ello puedes suscribirte a través de tu Centro Cívico en la ciudad en la que
vivas ( hay varios Centros Cívicos en cada ciudad y en cada municipio) , y si en el
Centro o Centros Cívicos de tu ciudad aún no funciona podeis solicitarlo, o, crearlo ................................................................

Surge el Banco del Tiempo . . .

1. ¿Qué es un banco del tiempo? .
Un Banco tiene como fin promover intercambios de tiempo entre usuarios mayores de edad (socios), que estén dados de alta en el sistema (en el caso de organismos, asociaciones o ayuntamientos). Ofrece la oportunidad de que la gente se conozca y confíe en los demás para resolver necesidades de la vida diaria, de esta forma se intenta mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas y dinamizar la vida local .
El intercambio consiste en ofrecer un determinado servicio a cambio del tiempo que cueste realizarlo y demandar otros servicios a cambio del valor que se esté dispuesto a pagar .
Funciona sin dinero, la riqueza la aportan las personas a través de las actividades que saben realizar y de querer dedicar tiempo a los demás.
El Banco del Tiempo es una iniciativa promovida por la Delegación de Acción Social y Cooperación al Desarrollo, en colaboración con la Federación de Asociaciones de Barrios que tiene como objetivo la creación de una red de intercambios de tiempo y de servicios entre los ciudadanos .

Una experiencia que surge en los años ochenta .

El germen de los Bancos del Tiempo surge con la experiencia de los “Time Dollar” en Estados Unidos. El concepto de “Time Dollar” fue desarrollado en la década de los 80 como desarrollo natural de las redes de trueque de Estados Unidos y con la idea principal de que la unidad de valor es el tiempo o “dólar-tiempo” .

La filosofía de estas redes se desarrolla especialmente en las experiencias de trueque de servicios que tuvieron su origen en Argentina en mayo de 1995. Veintitrés personas participaron del primer club del trueque en un garaje de la ciudad de Bernal, en el distrito de Buenos Aires. Normalmente estas iniciativas fueron promovidas por situaciones donde las economías nacionales y la situación laboral precaria no podían generar nuevos recursos en la comunidad. De esta manera, creaban un nuevo mercado local paralelo al tradicional donde las aptitudes, habilidades y conocimientos de las personas se ponían en común para utilizarlas como valor de intercambio .

El país pionero en el intercambio de tiempo en Europa ha sido Italia. En el año 1992 el sindicato de pensionistas de Parma fue el primero en poner en práctica el proyecto de intercambiar tiempo para resolver problemas de la vida cotidiana. En el año 1995 la experiencia se hizo extensible a otras ciudades .

En España se han ido creando desde los años 90 y hoy en día hay varios Bancos funcionando en Madrid, Barcelona, San Javier (Murcia), Chipiona, Sevilla, Pamplona, etc. y continúan abriéndose en nuevas localidades .


2. Cuenta del tiempo .
Cada socio del Banco dispone de su cuenta personal. Cuando le pidan un servicio cobrará por el tiempo que haya tardado en realizarlo actualizándose el saldo de su cuenta. La cuenta del tiempo se podrá consultar en internet o a través de la secretaría.
Cada socio es responsable de su cuenta y podrá administrar sus horas como quiera teniendo en cuenta lo siguiente:
- Al hacerse socio el Banco le da un crédito de 10 horas para que empiece a solicitar servicios.
- El número de horas que da y que recibe tiene que estar compensado, es decir hay que realizar servicios pero también solicitarlos a los demás.
- Se pueden realizar horas solidarias que se donan al Banco. Éste se encargará de administrar su utilización para actividades solidarias.


3. El talonario del tiempo .
Para utilizar los servicios del banco es necesario ser socio del mismo y disponer del talonario de tiempo. Cada socio recibirá su talonario personal y un préstamo de 10 horas para empezar a pedir servicios. Cuando realice un intercambio pagará con su talonario la cantidad de tiempo que ha costado su realización.
Es necesario avisar a la secretaría de que se ha producido un intercambio para que actualice los datos de las cuentas .


4. El valor de las cosas .
El valor de las actividades es el tiempo que se tarda en realizar el servicio.
Todos los servicios tienen el mismo valor, vale lo mismo acompañar niños al colegio, que arreglar un enchufe o pasear al perro .


5. ¿Qué se puede ofrecer? .
Los servicios que se pueden ofrecer dependen de las personas que se apunten al Banco. Algunos ejemplos son: llevar niños al colegio, acompañamiento de personas (eventos, médico, papeleos, etc), enseñar a cocinar, enseñar a coser o arreglar la bici, idiomas, manualidades, cuidado de animales domésticos, mecánica, masajes, maquillaje, música, etc.
Los intercambios son tareas puntuales y concretas. El socio es quien decide qué actividades quiere ofertar y cuánto tiempo puede dedicar.
Los intercambios son multilaterales, es decir, una socio puede acompañar a una persona al médico y luego utilizar el tiempo que ha ganado con este servicio para realizar talleres de manualidades que ofrece otro socio .
